The school is a gift of Chief of Budha Dal, 96 Crori Singh Sahib Jathedar Baba Santa Singh Ji, Akali Budha Dal Panjwan Takhat. The school is run by the Shiromani Budha Dal Sikh Educational Society with Baba Balbir Singh Ji, Akali 96 Crori, Chief Patron, Mrs. Sukhvinderjit Kaur, President, Mrs. Parminderjit Kaur Brar, Admin. Officer. S.Karan Rajbir Singh is the Director of Education & Advisor to Budha Dal Public Schools. Mrs. Harpreet Kaur is heading the school as the Principal. The school’s foundation was laid on 6th May 1984 by the Hon’ble Minister of Housing, Sports and Parliamentary affairs, Sardar Buta Singh.

The senior school site is situated on the Lower Mall. The sprawling campus includes a four storeyed instructional block, well equipped and modern laboratories. The Nursery Wing, the Preparatory Wing & Junior Wing are located in a separate building equipped with modern amenities. An air conditioned Conference room, a Music room, Art & Craft room, Dance room and a well equipped library are the other hallmarks of the school.
