Annual Report (Session 2020-2021)

‘Ignite your spirit with the fuel of firm self-belief, and set out on a voyage to the destiny of your dreams’

The quote aptly sums up the tradition of excellence we have set up at Budha Dal Public School, Patiala. The school with the Heavenly Blessings continued to uphold this tradition even during the Pandemic times. Infact at the end of this session we feel blessed turning around to look at the fruitful year gone by, achieving both the expected and unexpected and at the same time synergizing ourselves to face the challenges in the coming years, all with a positive attitude. The school curriculum even during the Pandemic times continued to be a beautiful blend of real time fun filled activities and impactful learning.

This session witnessed unprecedented crisis due to the spread of Novel Coronavirus but still we kept our children creatively engaged in various Co-Curricular activities to strengthen our symbiotic relationship with our students. Inspite of all the odds we were successful in organizing several activities as initiated by CBSE as well as several Inter House and Intra Class activities too round the year.

1. Essay Writing Competition - Topic ‘Aatamnirbhar Bharat’

Several In-House activities were also conducted through the Online mode only during the session. To list a few of them we have :

Apart from the Inter House activities, there were several Inter Class activities too, which were conducted to provide an environment conducive to education and grooming to our students through virtual platform this year. To name a few we have ; Inter and Intra Class Poetry Recitation, Story Writing, Best Out of Waste, Debates, Character Portrayal, Dance Competitions for our students.
It is pertinent to mention here that this all was possible just because of the strong symbiotic relationship which exists between students and teachers in our school. Although the teachers faced unprecedented problems or challenges of the new normal but their ‘never give up’ spirit resulted in wonderful results at the year end.

“Achievement is largely the product of steadily raising one’s levels of aspirations and expectations”

We at Budha Dal Public School, Patiala proved our credentials as being the best institute in the region with our stupendous results in the Board Exams, once again with 57 students scoring 95% and above marks and 120 students scoring 90% and above marks in the class XII Board Exams. Chelsie Ghakkhar (98.8%), Simran Sood (98.8%), Jaskaran Singh (97.6%) and Manmanderdeep Singh (97.4%) were toppers in Commerce. Humanities, Non-Medical and Medical streams respectively. The excellent results in the class X Board exams too speaks of our success story with 39 students scoring 95% and above marks, 116 students scoring 90% and above marks and 239 students scoring 80% and above marks. Jaskirat Singh and Mahi Soni topped in the school with 98.8% marks.
Our three preeminent NTSE scholars Guryansh Singla, Garima and Jatin Singla made us proud by winning the NTSE scholarship after clearing the stage – 2 of NTS Exam.
Such results make us look beyond the sky as the zenith of success. To aptly put it in words of Paul Brandt :

“Don’t tell me, sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon.”
Our students have always helped us retain our success story and we pray it continues in the years to come too.
